California’s tint law, plainly
Front side windows must let through at least 70% of light, so those take a light film. The windshield may only be tinted along the top four inches. Rear side windows and the back glass can be any darkness you like.
We install to the law. If a shop offers to put 5% on your front doors, that is a fix-it ticket with your name on it.
Installation and curing
Film is computer-cut to your vehicle’s pattern, so there is no blade near your glass and no shaved defroster line. Expect two to three hours for a full car.
Leave the windows up for three days while the film cures. You will see a slight haze or small water pockets for the first week — that is the mounting solution evaporating, and it clears on its own.
