Tint gives you a real number in about ten seconds. Glass tells you exactly what makes your vehicle's windshield the part it is — which is the honest answer to the question, and the reason we ask for the year and model before quoting.
15% off retail work booked through this site · code WEB15
How this estimate is worked out
Tint is a real price. Film and vehicle size are the two things that actually determine it, so the tool quotes from our own published pricing — Advanced Premium Carbon from 180 and USA 5G Series nano-ceramic from 240, up to 300 for the largest vehicles. Stripping failed old film is quoted on top because it is real work.
Glass is deliberately not given a number here. A windshield with a forward camera, a head-up display, an acoustic interlayer or a solar coating is a different part from a plain one, and the gap runs to hundreds of dollars. A tool that guessed would be quoting somebody else's car. Instead it reads what your vehicle actually carries and shows you the list — then the firm number comes from a person on the phone who has confirmed the part.
On the discount and insurance. The 15% applies to retail work you pay for directly. It cannot be applied to an insurance claim or used to offset a deductible — California Penal Code § 551(b) prohibits offering a discount intended to offset a deductible, and we will not do it. If you are claiming, we will tell you plainly what your policy is likely to cover. More on insurance.
About the estimate
How does the 15% discount work?
Safety Prime Auto Glass & Tint takes 15% off the retail price of work booked directly through the website or by quoting the code WEB15 on the phone. The regular price shown is the price actually charged for that work, and the discount is calculated from it. It does not apply to work billed to an insurance company.
Can the discount be applied to my insurance deductible?
No, and no auto glass shop in California may lawfully offer that. California Penal Code section 551(b) makes it an offence to knowingly offer a discount intended to offset an insurance deductible. The discount applies to retail work paid directly, not to claims.
Why does the tool give a price for tint but not for glass?
Because tint pricing is genuinely standard by film and vehicle size, while glass is not. A windshield with a camera, a head-up display or a solar coating is a different part from a plain one. Rather than invent a number, the tool shows exactly which of those your vehicle has, and the firm price is confirmed on the phone.
Is the estimate the final price?
No. It is an estimate for a standard vehicle in standard condition. The firm price is confirmed on the phone once the year, make and model are known, and always before any work is booked.
Still not sure?Tell us the year, make and model and you will have a straight answer on the same call — or send it in writing and we call you back.
